What is PSARA License?

Private Security Agency License or PSARA License is mandatory requirement for Private Security Agency who is interested in operating as Private Security Service Provider. As per The Private Security Agencies Regulations (Rules) Act, Every Agency of State(s) required to apply for PSARA License as per their operational state. Thus, PSARA License Issued by Government will be valid for that State only. Hence, Agencies who is operating in multiple State required license for each state separately.

Types of PSARA License

Three Types of PSARA License can be applied by applicant.

  1. One District PSARA License
  2. Five District PSARA License
  3. State PSASA License

(NO Central License is available, Hence State wise application shall be made)

Qualification & Criteria for Private Security Agency License Application

Followings Criteria Must be fulfilled by applicant

  1. Applicant must be Indian Resident
  2. At least One Place (Office, Home, Rent Premises, Consent Place etc) must be required in State where license is applied
  3. Criminal Record must be clean (No offence record)
  4. Citizen can apply (There is NO Requirement of Army Person) – Any Civilian/ Non Army Person Can also apply.

What are the Documents Required for PSARA License?

New/Renewal Application for PSARA License, Following Documents are required

  1. Owner(s) Photo
  2. Aadhar Card
  3. PAN Card
  4. Current Residential Address Proof (Eg. Rent Agreement, Tax Bill, Electricity Bill, Etc – any one)
  5. Last Filed Income Tax Return (Optional)
  6. Mother Name
  7. Email and Phone Number
  8. Shop Establishment (Business Registration Proof eg. Trade License)
  9. Office Address Proof (Home/office Proof where license is applied)
  10. Premises Photo (With Sign Board)
  11. Uniform Photo & Color
  12. Agency Logo/Mark
  13. As Applicable – In case of Partnership Firm (Pan Card and Partnership Deed), In Case of Company (Company Incorporation Certificate, MoA and AoA, PAN)
  14. Only If Available (GST, PF, ESIC, Training Guard, MoU etc) – We Will Arrange

Process of PSARA License

Lets Check Step to Step Private Security Agency License Approval Process

Step 1: Preparation of Formation Documents (Eg. Firm/Company Registration)

Step 2: Obtaining Shop Establishment or Trade License (as applicable)

Step 3: Arrangement of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Training Institute, and Partner Training Certificate for PSARA (We Will Arrange for You)

Step 5: Creating Document of Affidavit as per PSARA Section 6/7. (Notarization & Stamping Required). Also, Authority Letter Drafting (for Appearing on Behalf of you) and Compliance Report for PSARA.

Step 6: Filing of Application before PSARA Department. Payment of Government Fees (1 District – Rs. 5000, 5 District – Rs. 10,000 and for State Rs. 25000)

Step 7: File Approval from PSARA Cell – We will Conduct Verification and Approval Process

Step 8: Sending File at District Office – We will Conduct District Office Verification, Police Chalan payment, and Document Submission at Respective District Branch

Step 9: Police Station Verification – We will Submit required Paper for Verification and Criminal Clean Affidavit etc at Police Station on Behalf of client.

Step 10 : Bringing File to IPS (Signing Authority Person For PSARA License) – We will Bring File before PSARA Issuance Authority for Final Signing.

Step 11: License Approval

Important : All Verification, Submission work will be handled by us. Thus, Client is no need to appear to any police station for verification etc. (If required, for face to face signing on statement then we will inform client in advance)
